Derivatives.gr started its operations in June, 2000. It is the first Hellenic internet site dedicated to Derivative products.
With the introduction of derivative products in August 1999 in the Greek market, investors had to face a totally new investment vehicle that hided opportunities as well as increased risks.
The mission of Derivatives.gr is to help non sophisticated investors to avoid the pitfalls of these new products as well as to accommodate their needs in order to increase their investment framework
This has been achieved by Derivatives.gr through the following steps:- Educating the market through extensive and comprehensive e-learning material (e-lectures) about derivative products and strategies and thus reinforcing knowledge of the broader public about these alternative investment vehicles
- Promoting sound financial investments through comprehension
- Providing updates of the Foreign market as well as analysis about the Greek Derivatives Market (through its Digital Weekly Magazine)
- Providing on-line interactive tools (calculators)
- Organizing Conferences and Workshops
In order to achieve its objectives, Derivatives.gr has established the fundamentals for the development of a sophisticated investors' community aiming to undertake sound investment decisions.

- Motivate our members for the sophisticated practice (through our proprietary simulation tools) of derivative products
- Increase awareness and promote derivatives as a viable financial investment alternative.
In February 2008, Derivatives.gr organized the first multidimensional derivatives forum with over 400 participants, while also in September 2008, it organized the firstforum for Derivatives and Asset Management Strategies in Greece, with 140 domestic and foreign professional investors, having attended it.
